Ann Hits the Nail on the Head Again.
Everyone should visit the Diggin in the Dirt blogsite www.diggindirt.blogspot.com , and the read the link that Ann has referenced.
The people deserve answers as to Garner's own promise to get answers before spending money. How is it just coincidence that as Scribner Place unfolds with approvals, other City services can no longer function, and a new fee is going into effect?
The public deserves to see the roots of the deal, and how this was put together, because it is having a direct effect on all the "little people" in their "little town".

The first anonymous comment actually is unwanted spam generated automatically when Laura posts.
There's little she can do about it except to delete it, so blame it on people who have nothing better to do than scam the Internet.

IMPORTANT MEETING TONIGHT
The Stormwater Committee is having a meeting tonight at Green Valley School at 7:00 PM. The public is not aware because they only ran a small ad in the Tribune legals on Sunday.
They are going to talk about a new fee to be placed on all property in New Albany. They say it is only $3.00 per month. But, you should read the small note in the Courier today. They state that this is the "INTERIM FEE."
OK-FOLKS, INTERIM fee MEANS FOR NOW, and they will raise that $3.00 to a higher one. This will be in addition to your Sewer Bill, Recycle Bill, Garbage Bill and Water Hydrant Fee.
WE CAN'T HAVE ANYMORE CITY FEES DUMPED ON US. People need to attend this Meeting Tonight.

Thanks Roger for all the info on Spam.

na taxpayer,
I feel it is important to note the meetings held last night and tonight are not the Storm Water Advisory Committee, instead it is the Admisistrations and/or Sewer Boards hired guns meeting the requirements of public meetings necessary before it can be voted on at the Next Council Meeting(Oct.
3rd)and start the process of forced fees on you the residents. A lot of questions have not been answered concerning that Ordinance G-05-09 implementing this fee, but be damned they want it passed anyway, regardless of the concerns!

tell me Mr. king, if you think we can meet the stormwater mandate without a fee how can it be done, you wanna be engineers dont have a clue.
We dont tell you how to run the AFCIO so stop pretending you are an engineer, where did you get your degree Little People University?

anonymous,
Considering the fact you read only what you want to stir, there is no reason for me to try and answer your question!
Oh, stupid, that is the AFL-CIO not
AFCIO.

The people of New Albany have to stand up to the Mayor and his Sewer Board trying to cram this additional $3.00 fee down every one's throat.
Are they afraid that the public will find out why they have to get their hands on this money so fast?
THANK YOU, MR. KING FOR BEING BRAVE ENOUGH TO TELL THE TRUTH AND TO ASK QUESTIONS FOR THOSE OF US WHO DON'T
KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON DOWNTOWN.
HOPE YOU CAN KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

Is Mr. King being slammed because he
has stood up and spoke up to try to help our Sanitation Dept.?
Does the Mayor's staff just sit at their computer keyboards all day to put down anyone who speaks up for the
good of the people?

There is a seriously unstable element that runs through whoever is posting all these hateful words.
The best we can do is absolutely ignore it.
Obviously they are trying to goad us into arguments, and we have better things to do.

Hoping and praying someone will do an article about tonight's stormwater "public" meeting. Not privileged to do so, but anxiously awaiting. You should speak with your County Commissioners to see how much money they are spending to meet the EPA's unfunded mandate and if residents in the county will pay. Thanx

To Anonymous from Anonymous, do you think they (downtown) would be that stupid and not know how you can track which, what, when, and where about computers these days? A smart-alec I guess that would be me.

It is truly time for the Citizens of New Albany to stand up.
We have all had enough.
